Christmas and New Year holidays are celebrated all over the world. Every culture is a little different. Different customs, different expectations, different beliefs and wishes. But what unites them all is love, joy and hope for a better future. Contemporary X-mas World is a performance of children and young dancers of contemporary dance, stream and disco from the renowned Contemporary studio - a space for dance. The children enjoy the stage where many of their dance teachers have performed before them. This year's Christmas performance is inspired by the theme of Christmas and New Year celebrations in the Czech Republic and around the world.

Contemporary - A Space for Dance is a renowned dance studio for children and adults in Peace Square. It has been educating children in its studio dance program for more than 20 years. Its focus on contemporary dance is presented at competitions by the Contemporary Community component. The street competition section is Elements Community. The studio has also begun representing the Disco Community. In addition to regular classes for students, Contemporary - Space for Dance organizes dance workshops and camps with Czech and international teachers. It also takes care of the individual personal growth and cultural cultivation of its students. From its young dance talents grows the Elite Community, a group of multi-genre dancers.

The studio also provides rehearsal and choreography facilities for Czech dance companies and provides space for unique international dance, movement and theatre projects or workshops.

The Contemporary is also very pleased to operate regional branches of the Contemporary - a space for dance. In addition to the established branch in East Bohemia under the leadership of Petra Dědková, we have also added Central Bohemia branches in Mníšek pod Brdy and Líšnice. Šárka Šebková takes care of their functioning.

The quality of teaching is based on the lecturing team, which is carefully protected by the founder of the studio MgA. Vendula Poznarová and the director of the children's department Mgr. Eva Šleisová. An obvious criterion of the lecturers is methodological equipment, preferably after graduating in dance pedagogy at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, active dance professionalism and joy of working with children. Every year the teachers prepare two performances with them.
